The Singing Christmas Tree

The church that I visit every week in Japan is Tokyo Baptist Church. It is located at 9-2 Hachiyama-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan. This is an international church where there are people from many different countries. There are people from USA, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, etc. In its website it is said that there are about 50 nationalities of its members. I knew about this church from my friend who is also an Indonesian. She brought me to this church together with her on the first Sunday after I arrived at Japan.

Tokyo Baptist Church has 5 services for weekly worship. The first service is on Saturday at 7:00 pm. The next services are on Sunday at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Every year, Tokyo Baptist Church has gospel singing concert near Christmas time. This concert is called the Singing Christmas Tree. It is called the Singing Christmas Tree because there is a large Christmas tree in this concert, where there are many singers standing in the Christmas tree and sing many Christmas songs.

Inside Tokyo Baptist Church in the Singing Christmas Tree Concert

The photo above shows the condition of Tokyo Baptist Church when there is The Singing Christmas Tree Concert. It is not this year’s concert, but because I could not take a picture of the concert at that time, so I just found some photos by googling.

These are the photos of the concert I attended. I could only get the pictures after the concert had finished.
