Continuing my previous post about unique flavors from Japanese snacks, besides KitKat there were also unique flavors of snacks which actually did not originate from Japan. They were Pringles potato chips and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. Maybe Japanese people like limited items, or maybe it was the business strategy from the Japanese company, there were usually time-limited items which were available only during certain period labeled with 期間限定 on the products.
Besides the regular flavors, there were limited flavors of Pringles in Japan. I managed to find and buy three of them: the beef kebab flavor, crispy pizza flavor during Halloween, night star flavor during Christmas. It was not very easy to find Pringles with these limited flavors.
The Haagen-Dazs ice cream also launched their own unique or limited flavors. I got to try nine of them: truffle chocolate, cookies and sesame cream, melon, green tea latte, English milk tea, honey milk, macadamia nut, cream cheese raspberry, cookies and green tea.
